It’s been a bit since I’ve done any imaginary shopping. Real life has gotten in the way although to be honest I do this in part to try to help make real life a little bit more manageable. It does get kind of tedious talking to yourself all day every day though. So I’ve picked this oversized fleece tunic for my first imaginary purchase of the day.

I like how roomy and comfortable it looks. I’m more for comfort than style when I’m lounging around at home. I like things that are roomy. I’d probably wear the tunic by itself” depending on how short it is in reality. Or maybe I’d wear some khaki shorts or frayed denim short.

I am totally sleepy right now and I’m supposed to be writing. I’ve given myself 4 months to finish my novel. Not the Salima novel. I’ve decided to put that on hold and rewrite another of my novels in the hope that I can finally fulfill my life’s dream; but I’m having some trouble getting started.

This is a novel I wrote years ago. I would be rewriting it completely. The main characters will be the same but their story will be a little bit different. Back when I first wrote it I tended to read somewhat unrealistic fiction and my own work was impacted by what I was reading. I’ve always looked back at my stuff and wished I had been reading more contemporary works but I was a bit of a silly snub back then thinking I wanted to be more Jane Austen and less Danielle Steele.

I probably wouldn’t wear the dress for the simple reason that the overlay is sheer and so you’d be able to see my fibroids pushing out my stomach and making me look pregnant” but other than that I think this is a gorgeous dress.

The material of this dress is said to be 100% silk. The dress is described as a “crinkled silk chiffon” dress with “fine gathers at the neckline” and “a ruffled high-low hem”.

I love the flat sandals the model is wearing with the dress. I think flat sandals are the perfect choice for this dress.

This Halston Heritage 100% silk sleeveless yellow drape front dress is lovely. I love how soft and silky it looks as well it should considering it is 100% silk. I have to wonder though this dress is $375 and 100% silk so why is it that some 100% silk dresses cost thousands depending on the designer name?

I guess maybe all silks are not created equally.

This dress looks more olive-greenish yellow in the picture. Colors in reality often do not 100% match colors in pictures. Actually” in the description on Amazon it says the color of this dress is “straw”. I guess straw would be in the greenish yellow family?

I’d wear this dress with some black pumps or maybe tan nude or other shade in the brown family. Red might even be good choice for a more bold and daring look.

I’m dressed like a lunatic today wearing a long coral skirt and a turquoise tank top with an aqua green skirt-type thingy over the tank top and another skirt-type thingy in brown under the tank top. It’s a rainy day but that’s good because it means it’s not as hell hot as it would be otherwise

I think the dress looks super cute on the model. Of course it won’t look the same on me because I have these fibroids but once I get rid of these fibroids if I ever do it would look super cute on me too.

I don’t think this is a dress you just throw on and wear any place you feel like wearing it although my take is usually wear what you want where ever and let people give you all the looks they feel inclined to give. The great thing about imaginary shopping is you can buy whatever you see that you like and want. Your imaginary bank account is bottomless. With that in mind I should probably head on over to where they sell dresses for $5000 but I hope if I ever am in a position to afford to spend $5000 on a dress I wouldn’t do it unless I had a very good reason. I mean $5000 for a dress that’s ridiculous to me.

I’ve seen this Black and white polka dot silk georgette sheath dress before and liked it. I don’t have any black and white polka dot dresses in my closet. Come to think of it I don’t think I have any kind of polka dot anything in my closet.

I saw a similar dress to this in a video with Emmy Rossum. She was showing what she has in her closet. I liked the dress and that’s how I first came across this dress. I went looking for alternatives to Emmy Rossum’s black and white polka dot dress because hers was by some major designer and cost a couple thousand dollars.

You’re not going to believe it but I’m still singing “Can You Stop the Rain”.  It’s Friday morning. Just finished eating a tiny bowl of cream of wheat. Like less than a half cup of the stuff. What color shoes would I wear with this dress? I like the shoes the model is wearing. I think black would probably be the best color or I could do a shade of brown tan or nude. Red might even work for a vamped up effect depending on the event to be attended. Or maybe a brownish shade of yellow? Don’t know maybe I’ll experiment over on Polyvore.

I’m kind of sleepy even though it’s only 9:32 AM. Didn’t sleep all that soundly. Went to bed late. The fibroids are acting up today. You should see my stomach.

I don’t really have anything planned for today. I keep intending to get around to starting the rewrite of my novel but my mind is too unsettled. I can’t write with my life hanging in limbo like it is. I want to feel good and inspired but I don’t really right now. I have this dread thing going on.

Maybe I should just close my eyes and imagine I’m Molly (she’s the heroine in my novel),. In another time and place at this particular hour Molly is getting ready to go to school. She’s doing her hair trying to style it to fit her face so she’ll look pretty enough for Anthony to notice. Anthony is her teacher the hero in my novel.

Oh to be free from mental strain and able to sit and write and disappear into my novel….

Anyway so my imaginary outfit for this morning are the lavender denim shorts with a nice breezy tank top. Maybe this tank top:

Here’s another morning feeling blue…. It’s pretty early to be blogging about my fashion wants. The sun’s not up yet but whatever. I’m sitting here wearing my blue dress again. Not this cute little blue drop waist dress from Modcloth.

My blue dress (the one I’m wearing), is going on two years old and only worn for sitting around the apartment.  This blue dress (the modcloth dress), I’m not sure where I would wear it or even if I could wear it. You know that age appropriate dressing stuff that people like to start throwing at you after age 25 or so?

The question is what kind of shoes would be best to wear with this dress? I personally think flats would work better than heels. Maybe some ballet flats or gladiator sandals.

I can see wearing a pair of red ballet flats with this dress. For some reason red seems to be a common choice of color for shoes to wear with a dress that’s an electric shade of blue.

I’m not sure the style of this dress would help to conceal a belly that isn’t flat though so even though I think it’s cute and I’d buy it to have it just in case an occasion might arise when I would want to wear it even if it’s only to wear at home it would probably sit in my closet like many of my items of clothing and never see the light of day.
