I want this yellow Tiered Gauze Maxi Dress from Spiegel

This dress is only $59 but still not affordable for me right now. I love the style and the color. The fact that it has to be hand washed isn’t all that great though.

I imagine myself wearing this on a beautiful summer day when the weather is pleasantly cool. Where would I be? Hmm I don’t know. Not the beach. This dress is not beach appropriate I don’t think too long unless it’s for wearing out to dine where there won’t be any sand involved.

Closing my eyes and trying to see myself somewhere in this dress. I’m with a friend and we’re having lunch al fresco somewhere in the world. Wow my imagination needs some WD40. I can’t visualize a thing. Can’t even really visualize myself.

More likely I would be with one or more of my sisters and their children or I would be with the hubby and feeling like crap because he’s paying attention to everything and everyone else but me and even though he’s trying to pretend he’s not noticing all the younger ladies strutting about in their short shorts with their firm tan legs devoid of a hint of imperfection I see him taking in the view and for every girl who passes by that he gives an appreciative glance I fade more and more into the pavement under our feet.

Should I be embarrassed to want something from Newport News? I guess Newport News is like Payless where people don’t announce they shop there because it’s supposed to be embarrassing or something? But I’ve shopped at Newport News more than a few times. In fact the last time I spent money on clothes I spent $120 on merchandise from Newport News. I got 2 leather jackets” two skirts and a dress. $500 worth of clothes for $120. It was their Black Friday sale.

These are only $40 but I can’t afford them. I don’t think I’ve ever spent $40 on bracelets. Any bracelets I have that cost more were gifts. I’ve never had the kind of money that makes buying $40 bracelets possible. For $40 I usually try to get at least 3 items of clothing so you can guess where I typically shop.

Ok the outfit I’ve put together around these Jessica Simpson Sandals isn’t all that hot. I love the shoes though; and the Rochas Hyena spotted calf hair skirt is nice but it costs $1,520 which is apparently a mark down from $3800. More power to those ladies who can afford these things.

The sandals are the Poll in nude by Jessica Simpson. They cost $89.99

The top is a wrap-over style mesh textured top from Phase Eight in a chocolate color.

The jacket is a Silver tuxedo jacket in black from Rag & Bone.

The dress in the set is cute but I don’t have the bosom to carry off something cut that low. The shoes I do like and want but as you might guess it’s still out of budget. $803 dollars is still more than I can afford to spend on shoes. I don’t even think I’ve spent $803 in clothes in the past decade.

As for the who wore it better question I think both ladies look nice. Obviously most people are going to pick Amy Adams. I do like her choice of shoes better than Amanda de Cadenet’s.

I’m starting to think I like yellow dresses. So far yellow dresses dominate my  posts. Interestingly enough I don’t own a single yellow dress. This embroidered yellow silk blend sleeveless dress from Marni probably won’t be found hanging in my closet any time soon. $1″ 510 is a little more than I can afford to spend on a dress. Ok it’s a whole lot more than I can afford to spend on a dress. I think it would look really cute on me though and the sandals from Charles by Charles David would look great with it although I don’t know if I would be able to walk in 4 3/4 inch heels. I’m not sure about the clutch if a clutch would suit the outfit but it matched the shoe and I like it.

These shoes look so creamy and delicious. Yeah okay so creamy and delicious are bad choices to describe something you wear on your foot but the shoes look edible to me. I’m surprised the heels are 4 inches. They look like I could manage to walk in them and I can just barely manage to pull off 3-inch heels; but even if I would never wear them because I couldn’t walk in them if I could afford them I would definitely buy them.

This dress would be great to have as an option when I need something loose fitting to wear that still looks stylish and chic.

I like the idea of flats with it. I’ve seen some sets made around this dress that have heels but I’d personally wear flat sandals.

This dres would go great with the Faded Glory Gladiator sandals I bought a couple of summers ago. Yeah that’s right I said Faded Glory as in a pair of $9.99 sandals I bought at Walmart (several years ago no less),. So yeah it’s like that okay?

Now if I could afford them I’d get these sandals to wear with the dress if I could afford the dress.

I love long skirts. I’m wearing a long brown tiered Bohemian skirt right now.

Long skirts are comfortable and usually look good if you match them with a nice top. Throw on some nice sandals in the summer and you don’t have to feel self conscious during that grocery store run unless of course your boyfriend comes with you to the store and some chick struts by in 6-inch heels and a micro mini skirt and he all of a sudden forgets your presence and starts ogling her right in front of you.

Both ladies were decked out in black see thorugh dresses. Kristen Stewart’s dress was a bit more risque than Charlize Theron’s.

I personally think they dressed like that to try to drum up talk and interest in their film what with The Avengers doing so phenomenally everybody’s got to try whatever tactics they can to get some kind of interest in their film.

I don’t know if I would wear either dress. Maybe if I was 21 and had the body of a runway fashion modelo.
