Thought this stripe top and printed silk pleated skirt would make for an interesting outfit idea. The top is from Frame Denim. It’s a 70% viscose 30% silk blouse with navy and yellow stripes on white. It retails for $329.
The skirt is from DSQUARED2. It’s 100% silk with orange, yellow and blue. It’s a floral print skirt with contrasting colors and lots of pleats. It retails for $547.
If I had these items in my wardrobe and I chose to wear them together I would add a fitted blazer.
This Balmain green double breasted wool blazer might be a bit much, but I like the color. The almost twenty-five hundred dollar price tag is another story altogether.
These brown suede ankle boots from Sergio Rossi probably seem like a crazy choice for this outfit; but I kind of like the idea of going with a color wouldn’t be an obvious match. And ankle boots seem like a good choice for this Frame Denim striped shirt and Dsquared2 printed silk pleated skirt look combination.
To justify the brown suede boots I would go with a brown bag like this brown Marc Jacobs leather shoulder bag, which retails for $539. Although, I did see a really nice Nina Ricci orange that I thought would look really nice with the skirt. So maybe I would go with an orange bag and justify the brown suede boots by accessorizing with a brown leather watch and other brown jewelry.
This outfit would probably get on numerous bad outfit lists, but I think it would be an interesting look.
