Some ladies exemplify the idea that you can buy fashion but you cannot buy style. To better understand this idea just think of it this way: fashion is what you wear and style is how you wear it. And some ladies have a natural gift for instinctively knowing how to achieve a high level of style with the things they wear. Ranti Onayemi has been impressing with her style since starting her blog Ranti In Review in September 2013.

Ranti recently celebrated the 1 year anniversary of her blog with a post titled “So Far” in which she showed us how to wear a tulle maxi skirt with a sheer top and shared her thoughts on how to invest smartly in building our wardrobe.

I truly believe if one can think of at least 3 ways to wear a piece, then it hasn’t been a wasted investment.Ranti Onayemi wearing the Wendy black maxi tulle skirt with girls on Film Sheer Panel Boxy Crop Top with Valentino clutch

Even for those of us ladies with a limited wardrobe who get years of wear out of things we buy for $9.99 this can be a useful tip. Even with a small wardrobe you can manage to achieve a different look each day and not have to be seen in the same things over and over. Just make sure that each item you purchase can be worn in at least 3 different ways.

Ranti in black and white

Among our favorite looks of Ranti’s are the ones in which she’s wearing black and white. Here she’s wearing a white Alexander Wang top with black culottes and black Valentino pumps. She describes the look as “a very feminine and tricky look to pull off”. In the accompanying post “Door 103” she explains how to avoid any potential wardrobe malfunctions that might be caused by the plunging neckline of your blouse. This is probably not a look that just anyone can pull off; and we have to hand it to Ranti. Because when you can still look elegant and sophisticated with a blouse that is so open and revealing in the front you are most definitely deserving of a bow.

Fall just started but the way time flies winter is practically upon us. For some of us that means frigid temperatures ahead. Maybe this is the year you’ll finally be able to take off and go on a vacation to a tropical island to get away from the cold for a couple of weeks. According to Ranti St. Thomas is a must visit locale.

May I urge you to visit the island if you’re ever able, the people, the food and culture is something all must experience at least once in their lifetime. Ranti Onayemi wearing a white Just Female Swing Cami Dress with Valentino rockstud sandals and proenza schouler papaya clutch
