How amazing does Nicole Kidman look in her latest ad campaign for Jimmy Choo? It’s like the girl was dipped in something that removed any outward evidence she’s physically changed in any way since her 25th birthday. It’s as if she’s been in a beauty sleep for two decades.
But she’s been photoshopped to where she doesn’t even look like Nicole Kidman!
Just about anywhere you come across the topic of Nicole Kidman’s Jimmy Choo Spring Summer 2014 ad campaign you will encounter references to photoshop in the comment section. A lot of people have said that Nicole was so severely photoshopped that if they didn’t see her name in the headline they would never have known in was her in the campaign.
I won’t start talking about the amazing things you can do with photo retouching software. I hate the way people need to scream photoshop for everything that looks too good to be true in their eyes. Do I believe that Nicole looks quite so amazing in reality as in her ad campaign photos and vidoes? Let’s just say I don’t see why it matters one way or another. Everything we see is an illusion.
But she’s an old lady!
Yeah if you’re over 40 you’re considered an old lady by some people’s standards; and they don’t want to see you posing in your panties or worse posing topless even if you have a figure to rival women half your age. Some people think Nicole Kidman is too old to be starring in such a sexy ad campaign.
I say good for Nicole that she isn’t hiding away in a hole somewhere crying her eyes out over the fact that she’s no longer twenty-something or even thirty-something. She knows she’s still sexy. She knows she’s still beautiful and she doesn’t go along with the idea that life is supposed to be lived a certain way depending on what age you are. That idea suggests that a woman her age isn’t supposed to be looking or acting sexy because she’s “too old for that stuff”. She’s supposed to just lock herself away for the next several decades of her life and allow herself to wither away then die. Even if she still looks and feels full of life and energy and sexiness.
More power to Nicole for having the courage to still be out there doing her thing. This world is so crazy and people are so harsh that even thirty year old women are getting told to stop wearing this and stop wearing that because they are too old to be trying to look young and sexy.
As for the actual Nicole Kidman Jimmy Choo Spring Summer 2014 ad campaign I can’t exactly run out and buy me anything with the brand name Jimmy Choo on it but Nicole definitely made me want some Jimmy Choo bags and shoes. She also made me want to work a little harder on trying to lose the few extra pounds I gained over the holidays.
