I picked up this pink polka dot top and red skirt from my local Goodwill yesterday. I figure there’s no need to wait until I have money to really get started on this style-life transformation experiment. The Goodwill has plenty of decent used clothing that can work for what I need right now. It’s the perfect place to get clothes that are only for use with creating content for this blog. For under $30 I picked up this top and skirt, another top, a leather skirt, a black blazer jacket, and an animal print dress.
So this morning I tried to take some pictures in the pink polka dot top and red skirt. The top is quite comfortable. It’s from the GAP. No idea how old but I’m sure it’s pretty old. The skirt’s brand label is missing so don’t know who made it. It buttons in the front and has pockets at the sides. The belt is also from Goodwill–purchased on a previous “goodwill hunting” shopping trip.
The necklace is a cheap $5 fake gold necklace that was picked up from a local store. It looks pretty good for what it is. It’s a nice heavy fake gold necklace.
Pink polka dot top red skirt outfit self grade
There’s obviously nothing particularly interesting about this pink polka dot top red skirt outfit. It’s basic. No one would stop me to compliment me on my style if I wore it out and about. Maybe if I added some more interesting accessories, a nice jacket and some great shoes. I didn’t actually wear shoes for these pics. I do think my nude Jessica Simpson Carri pumps would have been a great choice. And a shoulder bag in a matching color to the pumps.
As for my pink polka dot top red skirt outfit self grade. I’d give myself a C for effort. You should always give people credit for trying!
Tomorrow I will take some pictures in the leather skirt and the other top, or maybe the animal print dress instead. We’ll see.
