I love the sandals I selected for the set. They are Isabel Marant Merry flat leather sandals. They cost $325. The bag is from lordandtaylor.com. It’s their Big Buddha Hailey Hobo Bag. It costs $90. The dress is a MALENE BIRGER Hagans jersey maxi dress. The price of the dress is $215. The Chain-Link Bangle Set is $6.50 from forever21.com and the necklace is an 18 karat gold plated necklace by Kenneth Jay Lane. It’s $185.
Throw in the perfume and the total goes up to $5217. The MISSONI ‘Candy’ knit dress with tiered ruffles is $2″ 150. The Yves Saint Laurent Purefly gold-tone necklace is $1410. The Gianvito Rossi Pointed Toe Pumps are $520. The Gucci 1973 leather shoulder bag is $850. The MORRA DESIGNS Grad 2 Disc Earrings are $95. The Gold Pieces Metal Cuff is $18. The Acqua di Parma Iris Nobile Eau de Parfum is $174.
What I would want to get of the items in the set if I could get any one item I wanted would be the Yves Saint Laurent Purefly gold-tone necklace. Although I can’t help but wonder what “gold-tone” means as related to a $1410 necklace.
Just came across this outfit idea and love the blend of the yellow and green. You might not immediately think to match yellow with green but green has yellow in it so they would seem to go together when you consider that. You get green by mixing yellow with blue.
This dress is just delightfully cute. I absolutely love it. Oh if only the cost was $2.48. I actually have $2.48 on my bank account so I would then be able to afford it. Bet if the same exact dress was only $2.48 people would assume there was something inferior about it and not buy it.
I wear skirt dresses a lot. In my case they weren’t made to be skirt dresses. They were made to be skirts and I just end up pulling them all the way up and wearing them like dresses. Even so there’s something about seeing something that looks like a skirt being sold as a dress.

I do like the dress. I love the color and the lace. I don’t know how comfortable it would be as the description says there is a boned and underwired corset concealed somewhere in there. I’m inclined to think there was an error in the description.
Here’s a gorgeous set that uses the dress as a skirt.
Everything in the set is super expensive. The dress like the title says is $6,230. The shoes are an $895 pair of Valentino Couture Lace Platform d’Orsay pumps. The bag is also from Valentino. It’s $2 595. It’s made of 75% Lambskin 10% Acetate 10% Calf-skin leather. The top is a Blush sheer lace Valentino appliqued blouse that costs $3,285.
When an item of clothing costs that kind of money how can you not want it? It’s an interesting jacket. I actually quite like it. There are some nice sets that were created with it. Like the one in Modcloth Upwardly Mobile Satchel in Red and the one below.
But who can afford this jacket except someone who has a bank account with a few million in it? If someone gave you $7″ 733 and gave you a choice between buying this Balmain embellished wool-blend bejewelled jacket and going on a shopping spree at I don’t know let’s say Target just for kicks which would you choose?
The red is so deep and rich and the quality of the bag just looks supreme.
Even though it only costs $135 this bag would still be out of budget for me sad to say.
By comparison to $1 253 $135 is nothing but it’s still way more than I can afford for a handbag. Yeah I know. I keep repeating the point about not being able to afford stuff over and over and you’re sick of hearing it already.
This is a genuine leather bag and it comes in a variety of other colors such as brown green and navy yellow neon orange and neon pink:
The shoes I already mentioned in Modcloth Color Process pink orange blue yellow print scarf where I used them in one of my sets. They are $840 so you know it’ll be a cold day in hell before I can afford them. They are the Yves Saint Laurent Tribute high heel patent sandals.
They are red textured patent leather. The heels of these shoes are 5.5 inches.
Don’t think I can walk in 5.5 inch heels even if there’s a supporting 1.5 inch platform which I suppose makes the 5.5 inch heel feel more like 4 inches. I struggle with 3 inch heels.
Just to have these shoes to look at and enjoy the prettiness of the red textured patent leather I’d probably still buy them if I was a rich lady for whom $840 was like $8.40 for a poor girl.
This Tribute sandal comes in a variety of other colors.
The bag would be nice to have as well but at $1,253 it’s a wee bit out of budget. I also love and want the hat; but it’s also too expensive at $300. Even the belt is a little pricey at $95.
This Roger Vivier red suede flap-over shoulder bag is sold out so I wouldn’t be able to get it even if I could afford it.
Reality: I can’t afford this bag so even if it wasn’t sold out all I would have of it is my desire to obtain it some day if I was ever so fortunate financially to be able to afford to pay $2,256 for a handbag.
