The Oscar de la Renta Resort 2016 collection is apparently a celebration of the spirit of Punta Cana.
Never heard of Punta Cana? Don’t worry. We had never heard of Punta Cana either. We had to look it up.
According to Wikipedia it’s a municipality in the Dominican Republic. Located at “the easternmost tip of the Dominican Republic” it adjoins the Caribbean Sea and the Atlantic Ocean”. It is a region known for its 32km stretch of beaches and clear waters, combining with the Bávaro area to form La Costa del Coco (the Coconut Coast) described as the “land of lavish, all-inclusive resorts”.
It appears to be a well known tourist destination that’s popular for zip-lining, windsurfing, kayaking and sailing.
We’re not sure in what way the Oscar de la Renta Resort 2016 collection captures the spirit of Punta Cana, but we’re going to have to take their word for it since they know Punta Cana and we hadn’t even heard of it before today.
