Lupita Nyong’o by Alexi Lubomirski for Marie Claire

Stunning doesn’t begin to describe Lupita Nyong’o on the October 2014 cover of Marie Claire UK Magazine. Lupita is of course more than just beautiful. I haven’t yet seen any of her films but you don’t win an Academy Award your first time out if you’re not extremely talented. And I believe Lupita is a Yale graduate so the girl’s got it all–beauty, talent and brains.

Lupita is well established as a style icon. Marie Claire seems to agree that she looks phenomenal in yellow. She wears a yellow dress in the cover photo. Looking through Lupita’s pictures on Google images is quite the experience. If you can manage to do it without your eyes popping open and the word “wow” playing over and over in your head, you really must have that special kind of blind refusal to see the truth when it stares you in the face. The girl is strikingly beautiful. And her style is to die for. She looks good in just about every color; but in yellow she really stands out. Especially with a red lip.

It’s hard to imagine a girl this gorgeous ever faced ridicule on account of her looks. It’s amazing how things work in the world. A person can be standing in front of you with skin so exquisite it’s downright unreal; but you’re so programmed to believe that skin has to be a certain color to be beautiful that you honestly cannot appreciate the beauty of what is in front of you. You can’t see what’s there because your belief system has blinded you.
