We came across Kendall Jenner Harper’s Bazaar May 2015 cover on Kendall’s Instagram page. Kendall is on the subscriber cover for May. We’re guessing what that means is you won’t see Kendall on the cover at Newsstands and wherever you purchase your Harper’s Bazaar magazine in stores and what not. You’ll see model Anna Ewers. But if you are a Harper’s Bazaar subscriber the May 2015 issue that arrives in your mailbox will have Kendall on the cover. (Please feel free to correct us in the comments if we’re wrong). Kendall is of course featured inside the magazine showcasing a number of classic looks shot by Karl Lagerfeld and answering some interview questions.
She was asked by the interviewer, Laura Brown:
Karl Lagerfeld has said you’re the girl of the moment. How do you make this moment last?
Kendall’s reply:
I started this hoping that it would have longevity. I didn’t come into this thinking it’s going to be a fun thing that I’m going to do on the side. It’s something I want to do my whole life. It’s a career, so I needed to be really gentle with it. We had to pick and choose things very specifically.
What we think about the Kendall Jenner Harper’s Bazaar cover?
We love the cover. Kendall is gorgeous. We think she’s doing an amazing job holding her own out there. She might not be the best of the best; but we think she’s pretty good and we imagine she can only get better.
It will be no surprise that not everyone shares our opinion. We read some comments from people who think that Kendall, while pretty, can’t model. One commenter wrote on the website fashionista.com:
kendall is pretty, but she cant model. I only hope for her sake that she tries to emulate the models around her and tries to learn poses. I feel that she is getting through on instagram poses, and stereotypical model poses. It is only going to be soon when her moment has passed, and the next it girl comes through. Does anyone remember agyness deyn, and where is she now? These girls have crazy popularity in the moment of their buzz, but they have no longevity. (source)

Kendall seems quite determined to us. And in this age of brands capitalizing on people’s social media popularity, she has her tens of millions of followers to bank on. Her family are clearly business savvy people who know how to capitalize on their assets. They even know how to turn liabilities into assets. So we think one way or another Kendall will have longevity. Will we ever see the name Kendall Jenner on supermodel lists with names like Naomi Campbell, Cindy Crawford, Linda Evangelista, Christy Turlington and the like? That might be a little bit harder for Kendall to pull off. Particularly considering many people believe that the day of the supermodel is over.
