DSQUARED2 sleeveless red satin gathered runched cocktail dress

While I’m dilly-dallying trying to put off getting up to go work out I’ve done a little idle shopping. Janice called off her plans for today so I didn’t have to go out. I guess I can thank her niece who seems to have given her a cold.

I did get up to go make some dinner for myself. You’d think I’d have a personal chef with all my money but I haven’t quite fully embraced the lifestyle yet and I don’t know if I ever will. I do have someone come in to clean the place three times a week; but that’s about it. I’m still just the same girl I was before I came into all this money. I guess maybe I’m spending money stupidly but whatever. I have no other pleasures in life.

So yeah for dinner I made some wild rice with veggies. I’m going to try to start my 5 day fast tomorrow. We’ll see how that goes. It can be hard to get the fasts off to a start but once I manage to get day one completed successfully the rest is pretty easy.

As for the idle shopping I picked up a new dress a pair of pumps and a clutch purse.

The dress is from DSQUARED2. It’s a sleeveless red satin gathered runched cocktail dress. I saw it and wanted it so I bought it. It was on sale for $1050 USD- a 30% discount off the regular price of $1500.

I’m a little iffy on the shoulders. I usually look better with thin straps; but I’m hoping the surplice wrap front will make a difference in the way the wide-strapped shoulders look on me.  I’m a little bit curvier and more busty than the model featured in the dress. I also have a more shapely bottom so I expect the dress to look even better on me.

I think this dress would look fantastic with my Charlotte Olympia Isadora silver metallic nappa leather heels; but I’ve also bought a new pair of Givenchy sandals that would also go nicely with the dress.

I think sandals are a better fit for this dress than pumps. Whether I’ll wear the dress with silver sandals or black sandals will depend on where I’m going.

The clutch purse I bought is from Balmain. It’s the Balmain black suede dragon bi-Fold clutch. I saw it and loved the look of it so I bought it not necessarily to wear with this dress although I think the three items would work nicely together even if the sandals are leather and the clutch is suede. Satin leather and suede–I wonder…
