There is no such thing as over the top for American fashion designer Betsey Johnson. The phrase simply does not exist in her vocabulary. She has incredibly feminine and sometimes embellished designs. I mean, it’s expected given the cartwheel she does at the end of each fashion show.
I must confess I wasn’t very keen on her designs until I’ve started doing my research for this article. Also, I am not a big fan of leopard prints that might look cheap or slutty. I have seen my share of designer clothes with leopard prints that looked like stolen from a garage sale. Remarkably, I have found five pairs of elegant and sporty shoes, three scarfs, two watches and a pair of earrings with leopard prints designed by Betsey Johnson, that you can easily mix with an all black outfit (jeans or pants with a simple shirt or a black dress).
Well, I don’t think there is a thing that the American designer loves more than fashion, wild prints and fuchsia. The only Betsey Johnson item that I have in my wardrobe is this pair of incredibly sexy and graceful peep toes with leopard print and patent base. The patent base has very feminine pink and brown floral details. The shoes are very comfortable.
