Orange is one of those colors some people are afraid to wear. It’s bold. It’s bright. It’s highly noticeable. You probably wouldn’t wear something orange if you wanted to blend in with the crowd. But even if you’re a little shy and prefer not to draw attention to yourself” you can still wear orange without the risk of becoming a spectacle.

June 2014 update→So I was asked to remove the picture I had originally used for this post. As such I have to update the post and change the outfit ideas. I figure the outfit I used for my pretend modeling session to show off my Circus by Sam Edelman Bryn sandals the other day can work as outfit #1. Not so much the pieces themselves as my outfit comprises of cheap clothes I bought at my local Walmart; but the style. So the idea here is to wear an orange shirt over a white t-shirt with a pair of shorts and some sandals. In this case I am wearing mint green shorts. So I have looked around to find more high end pieces to put together a similar outfit. The colors aren’t exactly the same but still orange white and green.

June 2014 Update→ I had originally featured a different outfit here; but I was asked to remove the pictures I created to showcase the outfit. So I am pulling another outfit from my closet to feature. I’ve said in other posts that I like to wear skirts as dresses. I find flowy skirts very comfortable to wear as dresses in the spring and summer. I bought a couple of Bohemian style skirts from Amazon recently. One of the skirts is orange. I’ve worn it out a few times with my 7 For All Mankind denim shirt.

You can find the skirt on Amazon for twenty dollars. Not sure where you might be able to find the 7 for All Mankind colorblock denim shirt at this point. I bought mine at Amazon.com last September.
If you’re not keen on wearing a Bohemian skirt as a dress, a pair of orange denim capris with a denim shirt and wedge sandals could make a nice outfit.
