They say honey has great benefits when used in skin and hair treatment packs. We came across a honey hair treatment recipe that seemed easy and affordable enough to try. So we got some ladies with different hair types to try the recipe out on video for us. You can see the other videos on our youtube channel.
What is fact and what is fiction when it comes to the benefits of honey for skin and hair?
We’re not going to pretend we’re scientists who conducted lab experiments to isolate fact from fiction when it comes to all the claims surrounding honey and the benefits of using honey as a beauty treatment for skin and hair. We’ve used honey in our cinnamon face mask. We swear by that face mask; but whether or not the honey contributed any amazing benefits to our skin, well, we don’t really have a way to know. But from everything we’ve read, honey has great benefits for the skin and the hair.

The honey hair mask treatment recipe
Ingredients
- Honey
- Oilive Oil
- Egg
Procedure
In a small bow, mix together 2 tablespoons of honey with a raw egg (including yolk) and 1/2 tablespoon of olive oil. For thicker hair you might need to double the amounts.
First shampoo your hair, then add the treatment (it’s going to take the place of your conditioner). Cover your head with a shower cap and leave on the treatment for 20 minutes.
After 20 minutes rinse treatment out and proceed with your usual steps that you take after you have shampooed and conditioned your hair.
