I started writing this post on the 28th of February but I’ve been so busy working towards my crazy dreams that I haven’t had the time to finish the post or to update any other area of this website. The stuff I purchased from Nordstromrack as shared in my previous post, arrived going on two weeks back and I had some fun trying them on in my bedroom. I might take some pictures in the individual outfits over the upcoming weekends if I can fit it in; but I thought I’d share some of the pictures I took while I was trying on the clothes in my bedroom the day after they arrived. (Yes I put on makeup to try on my clothes (NOT) I put on the makeup because I staged the try-on for the purpose of getting some pictures for this blog post)

In the BP white Rib Knit Mock Neck Tee with BP rib knit sweater skirt. Yes, I know that my eyebrows are, in the opinion of the eyebrow police, in violation of all the laws of eyebrow designing. But I still can’t get my brows to look like they’re “supposed to” and frankly, I’m not that impressed with the overly defined eyebrow look anyway.

The burgundy BB Dakota Everton Illusion Lace Sheath Dress. It’s a cute dress. I wanted to wear it to go out to dinner the other night but I didn’t have proper shoes to go with it. The bag is one of the two mini wallet sized bags that I purchased along with the dress and other items. It’s cute but obviously just a wallet with a chain strap.

The black/silver Maggy London Geo Print Cold Shoulder black silver Dress. This dress is cute as well but I’m not all that in love with the feel of it. The material a little on the rough side. I do love the cold shoulder look though.

The BP rib knit sweater skirt again this time with the WAYF franklin turtleneck tobacco. The skirt is nice. It does make me look a little bigger in the hip and butt as sweater skirts will do; but I’ll take it. The top is cute as well. I like the skirt with the WAYF franklin turtleneck but I prefer it with the white BP Rib Knit Mock Neck Tee.

All in all I was pleased with my purchases Everything fit well. Hopefully I will get to do some per outfit posts. Right now I am spending my days composing and recording songs for an album. What about you?

Chase your dreams. Don’t let people decide for you what you can and cannot do. Let them think you’re delusional and crazy all they want. Just don’t think it yourself because then you won’t bother to try. I don’t know who said it, but whoever said it’s better to try and fail than never to try at all is right.

Monica
Singer songwriter Adelamonica AKA Avenue Sixty editor in chief. Writing as Monica for The Monica Archives. Writing has always been one of my passions. In fact, when I was a teenager, I used to tell people they should remember my name, because I was going to become a famous author. I used to live to write and write to live--not in the sense of writing for income but writing to combat depression and to feel a sense of purpose. I've written novels, poems, articles and essays that I tried unsuccessfully to get published over many years starting in my teens. When I discovered blogging several ages ago, I turned to that avenue as a means of doing what I love without having to worry about publishers and their rejection letters. Modeling is also something I have always enjoyed and something I wanted very badly to do as a teenager. So badly that I used to lie and tell people I was a model. I would carry around a large portfolio style photo album and claim it was my modeling portfolio. But, as with my writing, the people with the power to make my modeling dreams come true saw nothing in me that made them stop me in the streets of New York to offer me a modeling contract with their agency. So when I discovered the ability to photograph my own self (before cell phones and selfies) I took up a hobby of pretend modeling at home and that hobby has remained with me throughout my life as a form of self expression and self therapy. I ask that you kindly excuse my lack of worldliness and any instances where I demonstrate lack of tact or lack of knowledge and even lack of basic intelligence in my writing and posing. I'm just here trying to have a little fun doing the things that make me happy. I'm just an average human for whom writing and posing and singing and dancing and the other things I do are ways I express myself and keep myself going on this ever challenging journey of life. I hope you will find something even remotely useful or interesting in the things I share.
