Last week I picked up a handful of used clothing from my local Goodwill. Among the lot was a vintage Berman’s black leather skirt. The skirt is in pretty decent condition. Just missing a button in the back.
Last week I also joined JustFab.com and made my first purchase. The items I purchased arrived today. A pair of black knee high stiletto faux leather boots with gold stud accents, and a black faux leather bag also with gold accents. There is no way you will find me venturing out into public wearing 5.5 inch stiletto knee high boots. I love how they look but I’m not into suffering to look good. So these are for my play-modeling sessions. The bag I’m sure will get some use. It’s much bigger than I expected but that’s not a huge problem.
Red top black leather skirt experiment
So I decided to have a little fun today with the black leather skirt from Goodwill and the knee high stiletto boots from JustFab. I paired the skirt with a red Cold Creek top which I also picked up from the Goodwill, and a black blazer (also from Goodwill). The particular red top black leather skirt look is more on the mature side. I’m not exactly 25 so a mature look works for me. I’m not sure the boots would be appropriate if I was wearing this outfit to work. For me it’s fine because I work from home; but if I had to go out to work then perhaps the boots would be a bit much.
Overall I liked the look I put together today. I’d say if someone is wondering if a red top black leather skirt combination works the answer is yes. Of course it will also depend upon the style of the top and the style of the skirt; but you can definitely work a red top black leather skirt look.
