Black leather jumpsuits aren’t exactly everyday wear but will they now become so thanks to Kylie Jenner?
Kylie Jenner was recently seen out and about with big sis Kourtney. The youngest of the Kardashian-Jenner clan was wearing a black leather jumpsuit with thin-strapped high heeled sandals.
Some question Kylie’s choice to wear a black leather jumpsuit to go out for lunch with her sis on a hot summer day. They seem to think that black leather jumpsuits are for hopping on bikes and attending biker events — not for any and every occasion and certainly not to be worn in hot summer weather.
For sure you don’t typically see too many ladies walking around in black leather jumpsuits every day. And leather isn’t exactly the kind of material you envision when you think of summer wear. But with so many people following Kylie on social media you have to wonder if she might set a trend where black leather jumpsuits will become as popular as their denim counterpart.
Kylie’s jumpsuit was this RtA ‘Zouzou’ Lambskin Leather Moto Jumpsuit.
Via Nordstrom.com and Farfetch.com this jumpsuit comes with a $1,495 price tag.
It comes in sizes XS, S, M and L and is described as a moto-inspired “sleek lambskin-leather jumpsuit”.
Most of the time when you see women wearing black leather jumpsuits it’s the over-the-top clinging catwoman bodysuit style that screams how hard they’re trying to get attention.
This RtA jumpsuit is sexy; but it’s not the kind of in-your-face sexiness that makes a woman look desperate. But, with a $1495 price tag, it’s not going to be making its way into our closet any time soon. We kind of like it though. When we saw it on Kylie we were impressed by how good she looked in it.
The leather might seem wrong for summer but we think the style makes it more summer appropriate for the simple reason, it’s like you’re wearing leather pants and a leather jacket all in one. It seems like it will be a bit much wearing it the fall and winter under a jacket. It will be like you’re wearing two jackets.
